Carson City Republican posts largest Q1 by a non-incumbent Republican in the history of Assembly District 40, enters primary with $48,229 war chest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 13, 2026
CARSON CITY, Nev. — Stacy Woodbury, Republican candidate for Nevada Assembly District 40, today announced raising $36,899 in the first quarter of 2026 — the largest single first quarter ever posted by a non-incumbent candidate in the history of the seat. Woodbury enters the primary season with $48,229 cash on hand, according to her contributions and expenses report filed with the Nevada Secretary of State.
The record-setting quarter reflects a broad and growing base of support from across the Carson City community and northern Nevada. The campaign received contributions from dozens of individual donors, local business leaders, and community organizations. Contributions ranged from small-dollar gifts to major investments from established Nevada employers, demonstrating a coalition that spans grassroots supporters and the business community alike.
“Thank you — I am humbled and energized by the outpouring of support from our neighbors and community leaders,” said Woodbury. “This campaign has always been about putting Carson City and northern Nevada families first. These numbers show that the people of Assembly District 40 are ready for new leadership and a representative who will fight for our shared values — lower taxes, responsible government, and a community where families can afford to live and thrive.”
Woodbury’s support extends well beyond monetary contributions. The campaign hosted multiple community events throughout the quarter, fueled by generous in-kind contributions from local supporters who donated food, beverages, and event materials — a sign of the volunteer energy and grassroots enthusiasm surrounding the campaign.
“We are building something special in Assembly District 40,” Woodbury added. “The momentum is on our side, and we are just getting started. I look forward to continuing to earn the trust and support of every voter in this district.”
Woodbury, a Carson City resident, is running to represent Assembly District 40, which covers portions of Carson City and surrounding communities. The primary election is scheduled for June 9, 2026.
